SWWT 1.4 Install Guide
Kudos go to Relick for assembling the original version of this guide and to Mr. Bombastique for contributing Fix B.

It is asked that all users attempt to run the installer as intended before attempting to run one of these work-around fixes.

Requirements

• Shattered Worlds: War Torn 1.4 Installer
• A previous install of Freelancer or modded Freelancer.
• A backup of your MPID in case it is needed.

Preferred Installation Method

1. Make sure you have an installation of vanilla or a mod of Freelancer on your computer.
2. Double click the SWWT 1.4 Installer to launch it.
   
   1. If you get a "Freelancer Prerequisite" error at this point, go to Fix A. Otherwise go to 3.
3. Follow the installer, changing things to your needs (e.g. install location).
4. Done! You will now have 3 shortcuts on your desktop and a folder in your start menu. The widescreen shortcut will launch the game in full screen.

Fix A

1. Remember, you MUST have a Freelancer installed for registry and fonts.
2. Download and install Universal Extractor.
3. Right click the SWWT 1.4 Installer, select 'UniExtract Files...'. Choose where to extract and select to extract with MSI Administrative Installer.
   
   1. If this part gives an error, go to Fix B.
4. In the folder you just made, there is a folder called PersonalFolder. Go down PersonalFolder until you get to a file called PerfOptions and overwrite the file in \My Documents\My Games\Freelancer with it.
5. Go to End of Fix.

Fix B

1. Download Less MSIérables.
2. Run lessmsi.exe, oven the SWWT 1.4 Installer, select all files, and extract all files to the location of your choice.
3. This will give you a folder with two subfolders: APPDIR and PersonalFolder. APPDIR contains SWWT 1.4, and can be renamed.
4. Select all the contents of PersonalFolder and overwrite the stuff in \My Documents\My Games\Freelancer with it.
5. Go to End of Fix.

End of Fix

1. Once done, go into the SWWT 1.4 folder that was just made, then go into the EXE folder.
2. Drag the included shortcuts to your desktop. (SWWT 1.4 Client, SWWT 1.4 Widescreen Client).
   
   1. If you can't find these shortcuts, go to End of Fix 2.
3. Make them point to \Custom_Installation_Folder\EXE\Freelancer
4. Done! The widescreen shortcut will launch the game in full screen.

End of Fix 2

1. Right click Freelancer.exe in \Custom_Installation_Folder\EXE\. Click 'Create Shortcut'.
2. Do this again.
3. Drag both of these to the desktop, name one 'SWWT 1.4 Client' and the other 'SWWT 1.4 Widescreen Client'.
4. Right click 'SWWT 1.4 Client' then click 'Properties'. Click at the end of the box which has where the Freelancer file is located, press space then type '-sserver.freelancer-swwt.com:2302' (without the apostrophes). Hit ok.
5. Right click 'SWWT 1.4 Widescreen Client' then click 'Properties'. Click at the end of the box which has where the Freelancer file is located, press space then type '-sserver.freelancer-swwt.com:2302' (without the apostrophes). Press space again and type '-dx' (once again without the apostrophes) Hit ok.
6. Finally done! Now you can play. (Widescreen shortcut launches game in full screen)
